In West Panama, ten adults and seven minors are missing. A specialized unit has located 262 out of 279 missing persons, with 17 still at large.


Ten Adults and Seven Minors Remain Missing in Panama

Ten adults and seven minors remain missing in the province of West Panama. According to records from the Specialized Unit for Missing Persons of the Public Prosecutor's Office (PGN), during 2025, 279 reports of missing persons were received, of which 89 are adults and 190 are minors. Thanks to the work of the Specialized Unit for Missing Persons, 262 people have been located; among them, 79 adults and 183 minors. All missing persons who were located were found in good condition. This specialized unit maintains search tasks 24 hours a day to locate the 17 people who still remain missing; seven of them are minors. One of the people who still remains missing is Daniel Antonio Barrios López, 21 years old. His relatives last saw him on October 23, 2025, when he left his home, located in the El Coco district, in the district of La Chorrera. Last week, the relatives of the adults and minors who remain missing held a march in the district of La Chorrera, requesting to reinforce the search for their relatives.
